Hello! My name is Susan Weser and I am the founder of Speaking2Win, a public speaking and presentation skills coaching and training consultancy, based in Melbourne Australia.

Public Speaking and You

Good communication is VITAL in all areas of business and in life - Whether it’s being articulate and confident speaking on the phone, participating in a meeting, giving a presentation, pitching to an investor, or simply speaking to several colleagues at once.

It’s a sad fact that many people equate public speaking confidence with professional competence.

You could be technically brilliant at what you do.

You could be the best lawyer, accountant, scientist, consultant, or software engineer.

But a lack of speaking confidence could hold you back from achieving your full potential.

It could be the one factor that determines whether you get the exciting new job, win the pitch, enrol the new client, or get the promotion.

My Background

I spent a number of years working in Information Technology as a software engineer and later, as a Consultant. Working in fabulous New York City for two years was definitely one of the highlights of my career!

I loved challenging myself and keeping my skillset current in the marketplace as new technologies emerged. I embraced learning and becoming certified in new programming languages and operating systems.

But, the one thing I did not enjoy was speaking in public.

I was perfectly fine speaking one-to-one with a fellow colleague or with my manager. But in meetings, I was quiet, barely uttering a word. When we had our weekly team meetings and I had to give a status report, my face would redden, my heart would race and I would feel awkward and self-conscious.

Looking back now, I know that keeping myself invisible, held me back from switching to a new Business Analyst role for which I had applied, and had so desperately wanted.

I finally decided to overcome my fear of public speaking.

I pursued introductory and then advanced training in public speaking.

I joined a public speaking group and was a member for 5 years.

I became a certified trainer.

I pursued opportunities to speak to as many groups and organisations as I could.

Along the way, I discovered that I loved public speaking and presenting - A far cry from my earlier days!

Nowadays, when I facilitate a workshop, I feel energised and happy.

I relish sharing my knowledge and experience with others, and to feel that I am making a difference.

How I would love to help you

My goal is to help you overcome your fear or apprehension around public speaking. I want to give you the tips, tools and techniques that I have learnt during my journey and to fast-track YOUR public speaking success!

I offer public speaking and presentation skills coaching for individuals, and training in public speaking and presentation skills for corporates and not-for-profit organisations.

No stone is left unturned. I can coach and train in every aspect of public speaking and presenting, from go to whoa.

All public speaking training and coaching services can be delivered in-person in Melbourne Australia, or online worldwide, via Zoom.

I am patient, supportive and encouraging, and am super-passionate about helping you improve your public speaking and presentation skills.
